A center for all things agriculture in Manitowoc County is in the midst of one of its busiest times of the year.
The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, much like many other agriculture-based organizations and businesses, finds itself getting busier and busier as spring gets into full bloom.
Farm Wisconsin Brand Manager Abigail Winkel spoke to us and mentioned how that included a beloved event that recently wrapped up.
“We recently wrapped up our Spring Baby Fever event,” Winkle tells SeehaferNews.com. “This previously had been a one-day event last year, and after really great success, we decided to extend it to a six-day event this year.”
She also noted, “The results were phenomenal. We welcomed over 2,400 guests in our doors in those six days, and the first Saturday of the event, we saw over 700 people come.”
Despite having one of their biggest events of the year recently finishing up, that isn’t stopping Farm Wisconsin from staying busy on an almost day-to-day basis.
“Before we even hit our next big program, we are in the midst of field trip season,” she explained. “As many people might imagine, the end of the school year is a busy field trip time, and that’s what’s going on at Farm Wisconsin right now. We’re welcoming students of all ages, everybody from preschool up through high school.”
While those at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center are keeping busy currently, Winkel also let us know what the public can expect from them in the coming months.
Looking ahead, Winkle said eagerly, “Mark your calendars for the last full weekend in July, we’ll be having our annual anniversary celebration.” While adding, “This weekend is really an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come and celebrate the grand opening that happened eight years ago. The event will take place Thursday, July 23rd, through Saturday, July 25th. Three days of lots of family fun.”
