There are some new leaders in Manitowoc County’s American Legion post.
Nancy Rivera and Tom Pope began their upcoming terms as American Legion Manitowoc County Commander and Vice Commander after being sworn in during a recent ceremony.
The oaths were administered by American Legion National Vice Commander Steve Weismann, with the legion explaining that the ceremony underscores the organization’s continued commitment to leadership, service, and support for those who have served our nation.
Rivera and Pope will continue to focus on American Legion programs throughout Manitowoc County, including Buddy Cheeks, Veteran outreach and support initiatives, Children and Youth programs such as Youth Government Day, and Community engagement.
The legion finishes by saying that their continued leadership “reflects a strong commitment to ensuring Veterans remain connected, supported, and recognized within the community.”
