Criminal charges are on the rise in Manitowoc.
In the Manitowoc Police Department’s monthly report, it was noted that 125 adults were charged last month, compared to 100 in March last year.
That puts the number at 327 adult criminal charges in 2026, up from 321 at this time in March 2025.
Juvenile charges are also up in March 2026, from 3 to 15, compared to March 2025.
So far, Manitowoc Police have logged 44 total juvenile charges this month, compared to 3 at this time last year.
Total calls for service this year are still down compared to 2025. So far, there have been 6,311 calls in 2026 compared to 6,348 by this time last year.
In March last year, there were 2,320 service calls.
Last month, there were only 2,285.
Total car accidents year to date in 2026 are up a little bit.
That statistic is at 264 in March this year, compared to 263 in March last year.
