Despite a record of under .500 heading into the weekend (2 and 3) Manitowoc Lincoln is ranked 15th in this week’s Max Preps Division One baseball poll.
The Ships have been competitive against a tough early-season slate and are scheduled to host Wausau East in a doubleheader at Bruce Steinbecker Field this morning, beginning at 11 a.m.
Other local and area schools ranked in Division One include Hortonville at number one, Bay Port is second, Sheboygan North is 8th, Ashwaubenon is 10th, West e Pere is 12th, Oshkosh North is 13th, Sheboygan South is ranked 16th and Green Bay Southwest comes in at number 21.
Notre Dame Academy of Green Bay is ranked 14th in Division Two, with Winneconne checking in at 15. Random Lake, who’s undefeated coming into the weekend, is ninth in Division Three.
Brillion is 10th, Mishicot is ranked 21st, and St. Mary Catholic is ranked 24th.
No local or area school is listed in Division Four.
