A man has been taken into custody after allegedly using chemicals from a lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to poison a coworker.
Investigators say Makoto Kuroda took the substance from a workplace refrigerator and administered it to the victim earlier this month.
Authorities allege that afterward, he texted another coworker saying, “I did it. I have also informed the person himself.”
Kuroda was arrested on Friday and told police the alleged act was motivated by frustration over a promotion the victim received instead of him.
He is now facing several charges, including second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
