Communities across southeast Wisconsin are recovering after powerful storms swept through the region Sunday and Monday.
Intense rain and high winds caused significant damage in the Milwaukee area, knocking down trees and power lines and leaving tens of thousands without electricity.
Officials confirmed a tornado in Sussex on Monday night, and the National Weather Service cautioned that additional severe weather remains possible.
In one incident, a large tree fell onto multiple parked vehicles near 20th Street and Greenfield Avenue, also causing damage to a nearby home.
Fallen trees were also reported in Oconomowoc and Wauwatosa.
