Lakeland University has recognized members of its faculty and student body for their student employment excellence.
The university has named two students as the Student Employees of the Year and two staff members as Student Employment Supervisors of the Year.
Lakeland students honored include seniors Savannah Szalanski and Dani Damrow.
Szalanski, a senior resident assistant, was recognized for her leadership as a member of the residence life team, while Damrow, Lakeland’s presidential ambassador, received the distinction for her leadership in training Lakeland’s Blue & Gold Champions for summer orientation activities.
Staff winners receiving the Student Employment Supervisors of the Year award were Angie Ritt, manager of Lakeland’s Daily Grind, and Max Breuer, one of Lakeland’s hall directors.
Both Ritt and Breuer were recognized for this award thanks to their ability to create a positive working environment for students and their support both at work and outside of work.
All four award winners were selected after much deliberation from Lakeland’s Cooperative Education & Career Readiness office.
More information on Breuer, Ritt, Damrow, and Szalanski, as well as the awards themselves, can be found online at lakeland.edu.
