A man suspected of a Milwaukee homicide has died after a shootout with law enforcement.
The incident occurred on Monday near 35th Street and National Avenue after a vehicle pursuit ended with an exchange of gunfire between the suspect and officers.
The man was struck by police gunfire and later died at a hospital.
Authorities say the 31-year-old was under investigation for a homicide earlier that same day on the city’s south side.
Multiple officers were involved, but none were hurt.
