One of Manitowoc County’s representatives in Madison has announced his bid for re-election.
Assembly District 2 Representative Shae Sortwell has officially declared his intention to run for another term.
In his announcement, the Two Creeks representative noted, “This session, I’ve worked on every issue from cutting income and property taxes, to eliminating your electricity bill sales tax, to fighting child traffickers, to supporting our local small businesses.”
Rep. Sortwell also highlighted his recognition as Wisconsin’s Most Effective Legislator, as voted on by the nonpartisan group known as the Center for Effective Lawmaking.
Looking ahead to the campaign, Rep. Sortwell said, “It has been my greatest honor to represent the people of northeast Wisconsin and fight for them every single day. I look forward to knocking on 10,000 doors this summer and taking your ideas back to Madison next session and getting the job done.”
