Manitowoc County’s election results have been certified.
County Clerk Jessica Backus confirms that Tyler Martell will become the next county executive after Bob Ziegelbauer announced he will not run again for the seat.
Every county board member who was projected to win a county board seat in the 2026 Spring General Election also won, with two uncontested districts receiving write-in candidates.
Tim Jadwoski, who originally filed for non-candidacy, received the most votes in District 2, while District 18 would go to Greg Riederer if he would accept.
New candidates to the county board include Jill Pope in District 5, Christopher McDonnell in District 6, Christopher Dallas in District 11, Brad Busse in District 16, Shae Sortwell in District 19, and Andrew Schwerma in District 20.
The 1st meeting of the county board takes place on Tuesday, April 21st.
The group will first vote on a county board chairman, since Martell was the former chairman.
