Two hotels in Two Rivers have received grant funding through the city.
Cool City Motel and The Lighthouse Inn will get façade improvement grant funding from the city TID districts to help them make continuous improvements.
At the Cool City Motel, they will use $17,536 for replacing 28 exterior doors and locking systems on the property.
New Owner Brian Conjurski told the council that improvements have been made to update the motel, including a new roof and some plumbing upgrades.
Lighthouse Inn Owner Jim Van Lanen will use $10,000 to upgrade exterior lighting and signage on the property to prepare for the summer season.
Van Lanen has also prepared a new logo for the hotel.
The Two Rivers city council voted unanimously on both grant applications for updating the hotels, and were very complimentary about the work done on both.
