A major fundraiser hosted by Ascend Services Inc. gets underway tomorrow.
The 7th Annual Throw with All Your Heart takes place at Tapped on the Lakeshore from Noon to 5:00 p.m.
On their Building Full Lives with Ascend Services podcast, Executive Director Deanne Genske calls it an event, a packed few hours with multiple games that include axe throwing, hammerschlagen, and more.
As in years past, multiple celebrity guests will appear in their own lanes to compete against attendees.
“The idea is, they’re there for 30 minutes, and it’s a way for them to bring in their family and friends to go and throw against them,” she explained. “Because as the competition is going on, sometimes there is a lull in people who are there for the competition can go over and throw against the mayor or whoever is in that lane.”
Not only will Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels be there, but other local celebrities, including Bold Blazer Group Owner Nicole Wooton, Ryans on York Owner Ryan Morris, and Ashley Henneman and Annie Skinkis, the owners of Luxe Beauty Bar, among others.
Attendees also get to enjoy gift basket raffles, a returning Wine Pull, and the popular 50/50 raffle.
All money raised will support Ascend Services Inc.’s mission to serve more than 200 young people and adults with disabilities.
