The Manitowoc community showed up big for a local veteran and his wife.
The Patriot Riders of American WI Chapter 2 presented Seehafer Broadcasting News Director Ryan Brahm with a $3,000 donation, raised from the 4th Annual Chili Competition and Bake Sale Fundraiser held on March 7th at City Limits in Manitowoc.
The money provided will support Ryan and his wife, Ashly, with their medical and living expenses while Ashly continues to recover from a liver transplant.
Brahm said of the donation, “The support we have received from the Manitowoc County community is nothing short of overwhelming. A simple thank you doesn’t even come close to describing the feelings we are both feeling.”
Patriot Riders Chapter 2 Vice President Jenny Matte extended her thanks to their Chili Competitors who signed up, bake sale donors, Raffle Basket donors, and the entire community who came out to support the organization, but most importantly, Ryan and Ashly.
The remaining proceeds raised will be donated soon.
The 5th Annual Chili Competition and Bake Sale Fundraiser will be held on March 6th next year.
