
An attempted homicide investigation is underway in Little Chute.
The Fox Valley Metro Police Department was called to a residence in the 1500 block of Vandenbroek Road at 11:45 Monday night on a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman.
The man had fled the scene by the time police arrived, while the woman was taken to a local hospital.
The suspect, 59-year-old Rudolf Knapp of Appleton, was later arrested on charges of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Strangulation, Substantial Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.
No additional details on the incident were made available.
Lieutenant Mark Wery said of the incident, “Violence is never acceptable, as it causes serious physical and emotional harm and undermines the safety of individuals and families. The Fox Valley Metro Police Department treats these incidents with the utmost seriousness and will investigate every report thoroughly to ensure accountability and to protect victims.”
