A Kewaskum woman is fighting for her life after a crash in Fond du Lac County Monday morning (April 6th).
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash at N3357 US Highway 45 in the Town of Osceola.
Witnesses reported that the woman was unresponsive and trapped inside the vehicle.
Two bystanders helped the first deputy on the scene extract the woman, and CPR was immediately administered.
The woman did begin breathing on her own, but her injuries were so severe that a ThedaStar Medical Helicopter was called to fly her to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah.
The 57-year-old Kewaskum woman was said to be suffering from life-threatening injuries.
She was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and is believed to have suffered a medical emergency, which caused her to leave the roadway, hit a driveway embankment, and flip her vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
