Manitowoc Lutheran will play its first sanctioned WIAA girls soccer match this afternoon in New Holstein against the Huskies.
Phil Stuebs is their head coach as the Lancers make the leap from being a club program for the last several seasons to a full-fledged high school varsity program.
The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
Other girls’ soccer matches include Manitowoc Lincoln looking to square their early-season record at 1-1 as they head to Oshkosh North to battle the Spartans, Kiel hosts Winnebago Lutheran Academy of Fond Du Lac, Denmark travels to Kaukauna, Sheboygan Falls plays at Fond Du Lac, Sheboygan North visits Arrowhead, Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian travels to Waupun to play Central Wisconsin Christian, Kohler hosts St. Mary’s Springs of Fond Du Lac, Cedar Grove/Belgium entertains Lake Country Lutheran, Oostburg heads to Appleton to battle Fox Valley Lutheran, and Ozaukee/Random Lake is at West Bend West/East.
Elsewhere, Kewaunee heads north to Sturgeon Bay, Sevastopol/Gibraltar plays at Little Chute, Marinette is at De Pere, West De Pere hosts Appleton North, Ashwaubenon entertains Menasha, Stevens Point plays at Bay Port, Green Bay East visits Luxemburg Casco, Green Bay Preble hosts Oshkosh West and St. Mary Catholic travels to Oshkosh to battle the co-op of Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian.
