Two area businesses are among nine throughout the state to receive Wisconsin Safety Council Workplace Safety Awards.
Land O’Lakes Inc in Kiel and Sargento in Plymouth were both honored in the Manufacturing category, and were joined by La Crosse-based Hydrite Chemical Company, Charter Wire LLC out of Milwaukee, and Custom Fabricating & Repair Inc in Marshfield.
Franklin-based Quad and Colony Brandy Inc. out of Monroe were the only companies to be praised in the Agriculture, Transportation, Utilities & Other category, while the Construction awards were given to Great Lakes Roofing in Germantown, and Janesville-based JP Cullen.
This is the 32nd year that the Wisconsin Safety Council has handed out its Workplace Safety Awards, which honor employers who demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Wisconsin Safety Council Executive Director Aaron Huebner noted, “Through proactive leadership, employee engagement, continuous improvement, and more, this year’s winners are making a real difference in the lives of their workers and our state’s culture of safety.”
