A division of the Sheboygan Police Department will be spreading awareness for crime victims later this month.
SPD’s Victim Services will be recognizing April 19th through April 25th as Crime Victim Rights Week in support of victims of crime and to show how resources and systems overlap.
As part of this nationally recognized week of support, Victim Services will again be hosting its Color for a Cause event at Uptown Social from April 21st through the 23rd between 10:00 a.m. and noon each day.
Color for a Cause invites the public to stop by Uptown Social and create a small piece of artwork that will be used as a small piece of a larger puzzle, with this year’s Crime Victims’ Rights Week theme being “Listen. Act. Advocate.”
Once the event comes to an end, all pieces of artwork will be combined into a large collage, highlighting that, individually, small actions make a difference when zooming out to see the bigger picture.
No registration is required to participate, and more information on the 2026 Color for a Cause event can be found on the Victim Services – Sheboygan Police Department Facebook page.
