The Kenosha woman killed last week reportedly requested a restraining order before her death.
WISN reports Makayla Plaza asked for a restraining order in February from her ex-husband, Marckus Plaza, before he allegedly stabbed her to death in her home.
Court documents show the request was made after she accused Marckus of physically trying to take her phone and attempting to lock her out of her house.
Marckus was arrested a day after Makayla was found.
He’s scheduled to make an appearance in court today.
