The Valders Vikings baseball team opens their 2026 season this morning as they travel to the Pewaukee Sports Complex to play a doubleheader against the Waterford Wolverines.
The Vikings finished 7-7 in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference last season and 11-9 overall, but Head Coach Clint Pfund will have to replace six seniors who were instrumental to the Vikings’ success.
Seniors Jacob Olson, Carter and Parker Vallesky, Andrew Schuster, Austin Ebert, and Jordon Brite will need to lead the way early as a good corps of seven underclassmen looks to find their roles and fill the void of those six departed seniors.
Waterford had a very successful season in 2025, winning 20 games and capturing the Southern Lakes Conference title.
The first pitch for game one is scheduled to be thrown at 11 a.m.
The Mishicot Indians open their baseball season on the road this afternoon against Kohler/ Sheboygan Christian.
The Indians finished second to Reedsville in the Big East North last season and advanced to the second round of the Division Three regionals, where they dropped a 3 to 2 decision to Chilton.
They lose Nolan Sand, Luke Weber, and Seth Rauber to graduation, but return nine seniors and several underclassmen who have a season of experience under their belts to challenge once again for the Big East-North conference title.
Kohler/Sheboygan Christian competes in the Big East-South conference and currently has 11 players on their roster, including three seniors.
They lost their season opener to Winnebago Lutheran Academy of Fond Du Lac on Tuesday.
The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 2:30 this afternoon in Kohler.
Other baseball games scheduled today include Cedar Grove/Belgium traveling to Kewaskum, Winneconne hosting Notre Dame Academy of Green Bay, and Kaukauna battles Green Bay Preble at Capital Credit Union Park in Green Bay.
