Numerous businesses from throughout Northeastern Wisconsin are in the running for the title of best burger in the state.
The Wisconsin Beef Council’s annual Best Burger Contest has been whittled down to the tournament’s elite eight, featuring some of the best-tasting options from throughout the state.
The local representatives on the list include the burger from Sheboygan’s very own Local Press Eatery, located at the corner of South 8th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
Meanwhile, other area burgers that have advanced to the elite eight include ones from Mihm’s Charcoal Grill in Menasha and Pastimes Pub and Grille out of Ripon.
Following this announcement, over the coming weeks, a panel of secret judges will travel to each of the establishments to taste and judge the remaining eight burgers to determine who will take home the crown of Wisconsin’s best burger.
Judges will be basing their picks on appearance, taste, and much more.
The grand-prize winner will be announced by the Wisconsin Beef Council on April 24th, ahead of May Beef Month.
