
Three people were arrested in Oshkosh yesterday in a joint operation between local and federal law enforcement.
The Oshkosh Police Department joined forces with the U.S. Marshals to track two people wanted by another unnamed agency for an incident involving firearms.
The duo was followed after leaving Walmart, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted.
One Oshkosh resident and two non-residents were apprehended without incident, and a search warrant was conducted on a residence.
During the search, several firearms and illegal drugs were recovered.
The identities of the three individuals were not released.
The Oshkosh Police Department said of the incident, “We will not tolerate the city being used as a safe haven for wanted individuals. We will continue to work tirelessly, utilizing all available resources to identify and apprehend those individuals who engage in these destructive behaviors.”
