Bond has been set for a man who allegedly stabbed his own mother dozens of times because she asked him to turn down his music.
FOX11 reports that 23-year-old Luis Sevilla Benavidez is being held on a $2 million bond on charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Mayhem, and Aggravated Battery.
The charges stem from an incident in Fond du Lac on March 21st, where Sevilla Benavidez, who is also allegedly an illegal immigrant, and his mother had gotten into an argument over the loudness of his music.
The investigators claim the woman was stabbed at least 26 times, and that Sevilla Benavidez was standing over her body when police arrived.
However, thanks to the quick actions of first responders, the woman is still alive as per the last reports.
Sevilla Benavidez is due back in court on April 17th for a preliminary hearing.
