A man from the Village of Greenville is facing attempted homicide charges after a fire in Outagamie County.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and Village of Greenville Fire Department were called to a residential fire in Greenville on March 19th.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered the flames inside an attached garage of a home that was occupied.
An investigation into the fire was started by the Village of Greenville Fire Department with assistance from the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and the Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of this investigation, it was deemed that the cause of the fire was suspicious and not started by accident.
Following the investigation, 47-year-old Nicholas N. Grundman was arrested for starting the fire.
The Sheriff’s Office has stated that Grundman is facing charges of First Degree Attempted Homicide, Arson, Stalking, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and three counts of Criminal Damage to Property.
