A house fire in Oshkosh has claimed the life of a family dog.
The Oshkosh Fire Department was called to the 900 block of Sunnyview Road at 5:20 Mo day evening on a report of a structure fire.
When they arrived, smoke was seen coming from the windows on both sides of the mobile home.
No one was home at the time, aside from the family dog, who died before firefighters could reach it.
Heavy smoke and fire damage were reported throughout the home.
The cause of the fire was said to be electrical, but a damage cost estimate was not given.
