The Kiel girls’ soccer team got its season off on the right foot yesterday.
The Raiders hosted Ozaukee/Random Lake and were able to walk away with a 2-0 victory.
Deanne Schwaller accounted for both Kiel goals, opening up the scoring thanks to a perfect through ball from Ella Vander-Meer.
She also received a second-half helper from freshman Piper Goodman to secure the victory.
Coach Mike Pritchard praised his defense, led by Callaway Goodman and Bella Schrage, which only allowed four shots on goal.
All four shots were corralled by Mya Langenfeld for her first shutout of the season.
The Raiders will be back in action on April 7th when they will host Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
