Advanced DNA technology is being credited for solving a decades-old cold case in southeastern Wisconsin.
Kenosha police announced the arrest of James Fowler in a 48-year-old murder case, and he’s been charged with homicide.
The case was sealed until yesterday, showing the now 68-year-old was arrested in Tennessee and charged in January.
The murder of Ralph Gianoli was reopened five years ago, and DNA from Fowler was identified through fingernail clippings.
Chief Patrick Patton argued no case or victim is “truly forgotten.”
