The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is looking for applicants to join the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary’s advisory council.
Seven primary and six alternate seats are available for the council, which ensures public participation in sanctuary management and provides advice to the sanctuary superintendent.
Seats available for the citizens-at-large, diving and diving clubs, education, fishing, heritage, maritime industry, recreation, tourism, and marketing.
The application period is open now and will remain open until April 24th.
Applicants accepted as members should expect to serve a three-year term and will consist of 15 primary and alternate members representing a variety of public interest groups.
It also includes 12 seats representing other federal and state government agencies.
The Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary’s Advisory Council actively recruits new members and alternates when positions are available.
