Today is the last day to accept public surveys for the Neshotah Beach Concessions Stand.
The city explained that it’s part of their 2026 Community Investment, which could use $255,000 for improvements to the building.
As a reminder, including the money does not mean the city is actually moving forward, but it has them prepared if the project is supported by the community and approved by the council.
All competitive construction bids are due by April 17th, providing a clear understanding of the exact project costs.
Two Rivers is also exploring external funding sources.
City staff have submitted a $50,000 grant request to the West Foundation, and they are awaiting a decision from the Wisconsin Department of Administration on a large state infrastructure grant.
If the city were to get the money, the estimated city taxpayer contribution would be reduced to about $105,000.
The Two Rivers City Council could know what’s next by the end of April.
