The Mishicot Indian’s girls’ softball team fell to Twinsburg, Ohio, by a score of 13 to 2 in a season-opening multi-school invitational in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Mishicot jumped out to a 2 to 0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a two-run single by Neveah Malchek and led 2 to 1 heading into the top of the third inning before Twinsburg erupted for 7 runs in that third inning en route to scoring twelve unanswered runs, and the game was called after five innings due to the mercy run rule.
Cooper Brouchoud had a pair of doubles for the Indians, with Sierra Skarda and Eva Bonness adding a hit apiece.
Mishicot will look for its first win of the season tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon when they play Oak Forest Park of Illinois.
