
A man has been sentenced in connection to a fatal overdose in Fond du Lac.
45-year-old Omar Simpson was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of 2nd Degree Reckless Homicide after he delivered the drugs that killed a woman in March of 2022.
He was ordered by Judge Laura Lavey to spend 12 years in prison, followed by 10 years on extended supervision.
FOX11 reports that the victim’s body was found in her bedroom shortly after she had been released from prison.
Cellphone records showed that she had had drug-related conversations with Simpson prior to her death.
Simpson has a long history of criminal activity, including convictions on charges of Manufacturing or Delivering Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Resisting an Officer, and Theft of Movable Property.
