A Columbia County deputy has been fired after an internal investigation into off-duty conduct.
County Sheriff Roger Brandner says the case has been sent to the Marquette County District Attorney for possible review.
Authorities say the investigation involves alleged improper online procurement of prescription medication.
The unnamed deputy was placed on leave last month after a search warrant was executed at their home.
Officials say no federal charges will be filed.
