A woman convicted of poisoning a salad will get probation and some jail time.
Court records show that 31-year-old Kaseyann Loiselle was sentenced by Manitowoc County Judge Anthony Lambrecht to three years of probation and will have to spend a year in the Manitowoc County Jail under the Huber Law starting on April 3rd.
Loiselle has been given credit for 15 days of time served.
Terms of probation include maintaining absolute sobriety, maintaining full-time employment, schooling, or a combination of both.
Loiselle pleaded no contest to the charge of placing foreign objects in edibles after a possible mixture of sleeping pills and insulin was put on a salad in August last year, which caused the victim to end up in the hospital.
Manitowoc Police said that a detective heard a phone conversation with the 31-year-old, in which she said, “I really didn’t want you to die, and I never should have done that.”
Loiselle also claimed that she had an alleged co-conspirator, but the person denied ever talking to her about the drugging and agreed to testify in court if needed.
