A Two Rivers man facing child sexual abuse charges has had a motion to have his bond lowered denied.
Court records show that 27-year-old Andrew J Mueller was in court last week for a bail hearing where he and his legal counsel attempted to get his $5,000 cash bail either lowered or changed to a signature bond.
However, presiding Judge Robert Dewane felt that, due to the probable cause statement, $5,000 was an appropriate amount for the allegations and denied the bail modification.
This comes as Mueller faces two felony counts of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Minor, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
These charges are linked to two separate incidents that occurred in November and December of last year.
Despite there being limited information available for the case, court documents also show that the victim was just 13 years old at the time of both alleged sexual assaults.
After his motion to modify his bail was denied, Mueller will now return to court in Manitowoc County on April 10th for further proceedings.
Until then, he remains in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail on a $5,000 cash bail.
