
Across the state, absentee voting opens today (March 24th) for April’s spring election, including in Sheboygan.
Sheboyganites will be able to cast their absentee ballots at City Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today, tomorrow (March 25th), and Thursday (March 26th), and from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday (March 27th).
In-person absentee voting will again be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 from March 30th to April 2nd and until 5:00 p.m. on April 3rd.
This election cycle, there are just two contested races for the Common Council, with incumbent District 2 Alder John Belanger taking on challenger Erin Bresmer while candidates Peter Jacobs and Bryan Kelly are vying for the District 8 seat.
All voters, regardless of ward, will also be voting to select three members to the Sheboygan Area School District School Board, however, there are just three candidates in the running: Heidi Boehmer, Kay. K Robbins and Sarah Ruiz-Harrison.
Meanwhile, the only statewide race to be on the ballot in Sheboygan will be for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, pitting Judge Chris Taylor against Judge Maria Lazar.
