Mishicot’s Police Chief thanks the community for their attendance during last week’s sextortion event.
Chief Paul Granger says they had over 650 people in attendance at the Convention Center at Fairway Inn and Suites and thanked all his law enforcement partners, including Chiefs and Sheriffs from throughout northeast Wisconsin and beyond, as well as the school districts in the area, for making sure students and families attended.
Granger also recognized Melisa Havlovitz, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, handling last-minute challenges to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
The police chief says now that there is tremendous momentum on the topic of sextortion, he asks residents to carry it forward in their daily lives and speak with children, educated friends, and help shed light on the dangers that exist online.
A media group called Miller Highlights also recorded the entire presentation and will create a website where the recording can be viewed by the public.
Granger finished by saying that from the bottom of his heart, he thanked everyone for helping make the event impactful, educational, and inspiring.
