There is one democratic candidate running for election in a Manitowoc County assembly district.
At the Manitowoc County Democratic Party’s Proxmire Dinner, MPSD School Board member Chris Able announced he will run for the 25th District Assembly seat, which covers the City of Manitowoc, Two Rivers, and an area along the lakeshore into a part of Sheboygan County.
The party’s Facebook page says that Able believes it’s time for a change in the Wisconsin Legislature, and more details about his campaign are coming in the weeks ahead.
This is not Able’s first time running for an office.
He ran against Justin Nickels for the mayor’s seat in 2021.
He has also been on the Manitowoc Public School Board for a number of years.
Republicans have controlled the 25th assembly seat for over a decade after Rep. Paul Tittl was first elected back in 2013.
