The Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale is returning to sing some classic musical theater.
The concert “Classics to Broadway” takes place on Tuesday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m.
The curated program promises an evening celebrating the sheer versatility of the human voice, spanning three centuries of vocal excellence, with the first half of the performance honoring the soul and history of choral music.
Musical pieces will feature Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia” and the soaring movements of Franz Schubert’s “Mass in G Major.”
It also includes the spirited “Ye Followers of the Lamb” and the rich and emotive ‘Do Lord, Remember Me” by Moses Hogan.
The second half of the 120-minute concert will feature melodies, including “The Secret Garden” and a rendition of pieces from “Les Miserables.”
Tickets will cost $14 for adults and $12 for students. More information can be found at cccshows.org.
Tickets can also be purchased online or by calling the Capitol Civic Centre box office at 920-683-2184.
