For the first time in 80 years, the Reedsville boys basketball team has earned a state title.
The Panthers faced off against Southwestern at the Kohl Center in Madison on Saturday and walked out with a 56-48 victory and a gold ball.
Reedsville held a two-point lead at the break and clamped down on defense, allowing just 15 points in the second half.
Arden Stren led the way with 20 points, 9 of which came from beyond the arc.
Ben Prochnow, who was the hero of the game in the semifinals, added 19 points while going 5 of 6 from the free throw line and had 8 assists, while Will Taddy contributed 9 points.
