The culmination of a season’s worth of hard work comes to a head today in Madison.
The WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament begins this afternoon.
In Division 3, top-seeded Seymour is set to battle Saint Croix Central in the tournament opener at 1:35 p.m. at the Kohler Center.
This is a bit of a David and Goliath story, as Seymour has only lost one game all year, while Saint Croix Central enters the contest at 19-9.
They will be followed by two teams evenly matched on paper, Lake Mills and Racine St. Catherine’s.
Then, in the Division 4 semifinals, top-seeded Bonduel will take on Cambridge at 6:35 p.m., followed by a battle between Milwaukee Juneau and Regis.
The state title games will be held on Saturday, starting at 11:05 a.m.
That is when Reedsville could be playing, if they beat Sheboygan Lutheran Friday morning.
Brian Norton will have the call on 980 WCUB and CubRadio.com starting at 8:30 a.m.
