A trial date has been set for a Hobart man charged in an overdose death case.
WFRV reports that 42-year-old Luis Aguirre was in court on Tuesday, where his trial date was scheduled for July 22nd through the 24th.
Aguirre was arrested in 2023 for the 2022 overdose death of a 41-year-old man.
The victim had messaged several people the day before his death, including Aguirre, who police say delivered the drugs that claimed his life.
He faces only one charge, 1st Degree Reckless Homicide by the Delivery of Drugs, which carries a potential sentence of up to 40 years in prison.
Aguirre will be back in court on July 20th for his final pre-trial conference.
