A Manitowoc man has been sentenced for threatening to shoot three people in June last year.
Court records show that 20-year-old Kameron Koch pleaded no contest yesterday (March 17th) to two counts of disorderly conduct for the incident at the Manitowoc Park and Ride.
Koch was placed on one year of probation and will be sentenced to 30 days in the Manitowoc County Jail, under the Huber Law.
He must also maintain absolute sobriety and not possess a firearm or a firearm look-alike as part of the conditions of bond.
Judge Jerilyn Dietz also ruled that the 20-year-old’s records would be expunged if he completes his probation.
Manitowoc Police were called to the Park and Ride on S. Frontage Road after two people said Koch sent a concerning message about “grabbing his gun for a reason” from Snapchat.
They then referenced a phone call where the suspect said, “You should probably leave before I shoot up the place.”
Police later found the 20-year-old and conducted a high-risk traffic stop.
Police say Koch told them that the gun was a BB gun and that he did not have access to a real firearm.
However, officers said the BB guns looked “almost identical to a Glock handgun” that was found in the vehicle.
