The City of Sheboygan is one step closer to being named the Strongest Town in the country.
With round one of the Strongest Town Contest in the books, Sheboygan has advanced to the Elite Eight and will be matched up against Cave City, Arkansas, as they enter the 1v1 portion.
The competition, which is hosted by Urban 3, looks to celebrate towns, big or small, that are taking tangible steps to overcome their transportation, housing, or financial challenges.
Voting for the elite eight runs through March 20th, with the winners advancing to the Final Four in the March Madness-style tournament.
Sheboygan Active Transportation, a local advocacy group affiliated with Strong Towns, has been leading the local campaign on its social media sites by highlighting local businesses and organizations that contribute to making Sheboygan a “Strong Town”.
