One person is in custody, and another was injured following a shooting in Oshkosh.
The Oshkosh Police Department was called to the 2400 block of Blake Court just before 8:45 Friday evening (March 13th) on a report of a shooting.
An investigation revealed that a 21-year-old Oshkosh man had fired a round into the rear of a vehicle, striking one of the five juveniles inside in the arm.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while detectives located the suspect vehicle in a parking lot in the 400 block of Sullivan Street.
A high-risk traffic stop was conducted on Highway 21 near Oakwood Road, and three persons of interest were taken into custody.
After all parties were interviewed, all but one were released, with the 21-year-old suspect being charged with 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
This was said to be an isolated incident, and the Oshkosh Police Department thanked local businesses for “providing surveillance video of the suspect and vehicle.”
The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
