*UPDATE* Mayor Justin Nickels has confirmed that both of these meetings have been moved to Tuesday, but City Hall will remain open.*
As of now, there are two meetings scheduled for today (March 16th) in the City of Manitowoc.
The Committee of the Whole will be in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m., where they will discuss the re-organization of the Departments of Public Infrastructure and Tourism.
Then, at 6:30 p.m., the Common Council will take over the Chambers, where they will declare April as Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and Mayor Justin Nickels will read a commendation for the retiring Police Chief Nick Reimer.
Then, after the public is given time to voice input, the Council will review a DNR Outdoor Recreation Aids Grant Agreement for the Red Arrow Park Beach Access Improvement project, which is worth $500,000 with a $500,000 local match.
They will also discuss an unbudgeted payment of up to $90,000 for police squad cameras and a resolution to set the seasonal employment pay rates for this year.
