
The Oostburg girls’ basketball team is your WIAA Division 3 State Champions.
The Flying Dutch earned their way into the title game with a 63-50 win over Mosinee, with Senior Riley Ketterhagen leading the way.
She netted 28 points, including 5 of the team’s 9 three pointers, setting up a battle of unbeatens in the championship game on Saturday.
Both Oostburg and Wisconsin Dells entered the contest at 29-0, but the contest was never close.
The Flying Dutch took a 42-21 lead into the break, and led by as many as 28 en route to a 64-37 dismantling of the Chiefs.
This time, Ady Katterhagen was the leading scorer, hitting four of her team’s 10 three-pointers in a 28-point performance.
Meanwhile, Arrowhead earned the Division 1 title with an 80-74 double overtime victory over Wauwatosa East, Whitefish Bay edged out Bever Dam 64-63 for the D2 championship, Neillsville beat Albany/Monticello 43-40 to win the D4 title, and Pacelli was named the Division 5 champion with a 70-40 win over Elva-Strum.
