A former correctional sergeant has entered a plea agreement in connection to two inmate deaths at Waupun Correctional Institution.
Court records show 41-year-old Jamal Russell pleaded no contest to three misdemeanor counts of violating institution laws.
A Dodge County judge accepted the plea and found Russell guilty.
Russell is one of several people charged in the investigation, with cases against others still pending.
A hearing for Russell is scheduled for mid-May to determine a sentencing date.
