A Manitowoc facing a plethora of charges in a child pornography case has had his court proceedings delayed yet again.
Court documents show that 20-year-old Brandon Lemerond, who was due for his preliminary hearing last week, had that hearing delayed after requesting to substitute the judge presiding over his case.
That request was approved, and Judge Mark Rohrer is now taking the lead on the case.
This comes as Lemerond has been charged with eight felony counts of Child Sexual Exploitation and 10 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Each of his 18 charges also carries repeater modifiers after being convicted in another child pornography case back in 2023.
The 20-year-old was arrested in October of last year after Manitowoc Police conducted a search at his residence on 29th Street.
That search uncovered eight files containing child sexual abuse material on Lemerond’s Snapchat account, who later admitted to talking to the minor female victims using the app.
Lemerond will now return to court on Thursday (March 26th) at 8:30 a.m. for his rescheduled preliminary hearing.
Until then, he remains in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.
