The City of Sheboygan is reminding residents of the winter parking regulations.
This reminder comes as northeastern Wisconsin is expected to get a significant amount of snow over the coming days.
Currently, the City’s overnight parking regulations are in effect daily from midnight to 6:00 a.m., and residents are required to abide by alternate side parking rules.
On odd-numbered dates, you are required to park on the side of the street with odd-numbered property addresses and on the even-numbered side of the street on even-numbered dates.
However, roads listed with no parking signs are still not allowed to have cars parked on them at any time.
Additionally, if a snow emergency is declared this weekend, residents will be subject to all-day alternate side parking on non-snow emergency routes.
After snow is plowed on your street, you will then be asked to move your vehicle to the opposite side of the street before midnight to allow a timely clearing of city roadways.
On snow emergency routes, boulevards, cul-de-sacs, and dead ends, parking on the street will be prohibited while a snow emergency is in effect.
Updates on parking regulations, as well as if a snow emergency is declared this weekend, can be found online by visiting the City of Sheboygan Facebook page or the Sheboygan Police Department Facebook page.
