Construction is continuing on a baseball field for the Reedsville School District.
Students in an Intro to Construction class last week took advantage of the warmer weather to get side roof rails installed on each of the new dugouts and began lifting, securing, and installing roof trusses.
Materials for the dugout roofs and benches have been donated and/or purchased by the class and others to complete the projects.
The bodies of the dugouts were constructed last fall.
New fencing and safety guards have also been installed.
In 2024, Reedsville High School reached a fundraising goal of more than $100,000 to improve the field.
The baseball field upgrades include installing a new playing surface, a new backstop, fencing, bleachers, and a new scoreboard.
